Meet our team

Edoardo Dal Borgo

I'm graduated in philosophy, and now I'm attending the master's degree in Digital Humanities and Digital Knowledge at the University of Bologna. My studies are now focused on data analysis, machine learning and knowledge extraction. I also work as a project manager and digital marketing strategist for a digital communication agency that I have recently launched. For this project, I have curated the user experience design of the whole platform with particular attention to usability aspects, responsive design, and navigation process. Starting from the UX design I developed the Bootstrap 5 layout structure for the whole website. I edited the "Female nude painting throughout Art" issue, I developed the text markup of the articles of my issue, and I designed the data structure of the metadata contained in the articles of all the issues on the website. Then I extracted all the data and developed the markup of the section of the two issues that allows browsing inside the articles' metadata. I'm also the designer of the algorithmic part of the project, and I have developed all the JavaScript scripts, in particular: the script that allows users to change the style of the website pages and the script that allows users to browse articles of the issues by clicking on the metadata collected in the specific section of the issues pages.

I work for the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz as a consultant researcher. My main responsibilities involve research and cataloguing of historical photographs within a Europe-wide database. My main contribution to this project was the layout design. I developed the design of all themes, including the necessary research in each historical period. The main areas of work involved: researching of fonts and images that were approriate to the periods of interest; editing of images and creation of animations; choosing layouts and color schemes; writing the documentation with all relevant choices; finally, I worked on the markup of the issue "The future of architecture".
